This is my 7-year-old Shetland Sheepdog, Blitz, who has made regular appearances in my videos throughout the years singing and doing tricks. Here he is doing another trick: going to sleep on command. Ah, if only human kids were like this.
I call him my Circus Dog because he can do all kinds of fancy things and is sometimes too smart for his own good (try dealing with a heartbroken dog who’s overheard you saying that he’s not going with you on vacation). He got this, as well as his extreme sweetness and travel-hardiness from his Mama, the original Somerville Circus Dog - RIP Star-Bear - who would also go to sleep like this on command. The white stripe and incredible intelligence came from his Daddy - RIP Mooner - the original Somerville Super Dog.

I have posted this video because it has a few good close-ups of a person who is deeply in hypnosis (somnambulistic state). For those learning hypnosis, use this as an example of some signs to look for when you are determining the level of hypnosis experienced by your client or volunteer (body stillness, glazed eyes, blank stare, eyelid flutter, facial expressions, etcetera).

During my trip to England, I worked out at my friend’s gym in the mornings before touring London and other parts of England. The second day I was at the gym, I mentioned hypnosis to a few people and ended up hypnotizing a bodybuilder who later introduced me to the gym’s fitness manager, James, and suggested that I hypnotize him too. James asked me to visit him the next morning when he’d have more time to experience hypnosis.
I returned to the gym the next day and began working with James on motivational hypnosis. He had never been hypnotized before this session, which lasted nearly an hour and included approximately 35 minutes of motivational coaching. This video begins after approximately 10 minutes of hypnosis when I remembered I had my video camera in my bag. I filmed the rest of the session including the coaching section (not shown here), during which we worked on increasing gym product/services sales and other issues. By the time the video begins, James had already experienced the initial hypnotic induction, arm levitation, arm catalepsy and name/number amnesia induced by suggestion—he had entered a state of somnambulism. Once I turned on the camera, I quickly recapped the name amnesia and catalepsy demonstrations then began the motivational work. The clips shown here are portions of the session filmed before and after the motivational coaching section.
For those who are interested in seeing an example of motivational hypnosis or hypnotherapy, refer to my video titled “Sports Hypnosis: Example of a Client’s Hypnotherapy Session.”
Enjoy!

Please be careful. Learn hypnosis ethics and safety before you hypnotize anyone.
CAVEAT:
It’s quite easy to learn how to hypnotize someone, so hypnosis can seem harmless. However, the danger of hypnosis(specifically recreational hypnosis) lies in not properly learning suggestion formation and the effects of hypnosis, being sloppy with suggestions (not knowing what to avoid doing), and not following strict ethics—to name just a few things.

Trick to Hypnotize Someone
If you want to learn how to hypnotize someone, it is probably best to learn from a working hypnotist, if possible.
If you want to learn how to hypnotize someone in particular, you should be aware that it is thought that some very literal minded or skeptical people cannot be hypnotized, and many hypnotists also believe that no-one can be hypnotized against their will.
The less the colored part of the eye is visible, the more easily they will be hypnotized. Allow a short silent period for the subject to become placid and relaxed.
Having achieved a suggestible state by using gentle, easy instructions, you can try to ‘take command’ of the subject’s actions.
Do you want to learn the most successful ways to hypnotize someone with step by step instructions from a successful working hypnotist? we will reveal all the secrets the stage hypnotists use, and offers free daily hypnosis lessons, plus scripts and audio files.

Conversational and covert hypnosis rely on suggestion and unless you have a firm grasp of how to implant and install realities in people then the covert stuff is very elegant and eloquent but not much use in all but the most false of states.
In my blog at http://jonathanchase.com you’ll pick up some hints and tips, as you will on my channel here at http://youtube.com/jonchase but this is just theory without experience which you can get by either doing some live hypnosis training in rapid fast instant and impromptu street style hypnosis by doing some live hypnosis training at http://learnhypnosis.com or by studying my take on real covert and underground hypnosis at http://svengalisystem.com
